Core Stability Exercises

Due to the fact that the muscles of the torso and trunk stabilize the spinal cord, it is essential that you use core stability exercises that are both effective and safe.
Sometimes, people suffering from chronic back pain have been successfully treated through stabilizing and developing the muscles of the core. On the other hand, this does not necessarily mean that each and every back pain can be cured this way. You ought to consult your doctor prior to starting any workout program.
Many people believe that strong abs results in a strong core. Abdominal strengthening alone is not adequate for strengthening of the core. The core is inclusive of a variety of different muscles which in stabilizing the torso. The core stability exercises target all the various muscle groups and thus give you ripped abs and strong core muscles.
The first exercise requires the use of a medicine ball but you can also perform the exercises without using one. Get into a push up position and rather than your hands being on the ground, rest on the forearms while the toes are balancing on to the medicine ball. Once you are in this position, tightly hold in your abs for about thirty seconds and then take a break of one minute. Repeat this action five or six times depending on your current fitness level.
The other exercise that you can use is referred to as the elbow to Knee Bridge and it is very easy to perform. Get back down into a push up position and then lift both you left hand and right foot off the ground. Pull the left elbow back and the right knee forward until they are very close together. Do three sets of eight reps.
Another core stability exercise that you can perform is known as the v-up. You are supposed to lie on your back while extending your arms and legs. Tighten your abs and then raise both your feet and hands toward each other. Perform three sets of eight reps.
